Project English Coffee for Coffee Growers, the radio broadcasting at University of Antioquia

Coffee English Project for Coffee Growers

Inglés cafeteroCoffee English Project for Coffee Growers (Inglés Cafetero) is a project whose main objective is spread English language among coffee producers and their family members with the vision of future coffee tours on various coffee farms as another economical activity of the region.

As I wrote before (you can read it here), the project was created as an outcome of my university internship at Cooperative of Coffee Producers of Andes. The project has been gaining more and more importance as the Southwestern region of Antioquia, where Andes is the biggest city in the area, is  famous for its coffee and is rich in natural beauty, cultural traditions  and  history that affected Antioquia department positively in so many ways.

Radio broadcasting

For those who speak Spanish, I encourage you to listen to the radio broadcasting at University of Antioquia, Southwestern section in Andes, where I was invited to talk about Coffee English Project on June 12, 2013.

I hope you will enjoy it. Please support us leaving your comment!

  1. Hello! Thanks for documenting your time in Colombia. I am wondering if you know of any coffee farms in Southwestern Antioquia where they speak English? I will be touring there and would love a coffee farm tour, but do not have excellent Spanish language skills. We are considering staying in Jardin. Any thoughts and recommendations would be appreciated! Also, we’d be interested in observing coffee harvest and/or picking some of our own. Any thoughts on how to arrange such a thing with limited Spanish? Thanks!
