Cabalgata is Spanish word referring to horse ride which usually takes few hours, around 3-4 or in some cases cabalgatas could be all day long. Many hours on horse back affects your back too, unless you are professional polo player or jockey and you spend more time sitting on a horse back than lying in the bed 🙂
Here in Colombia, cabalgatas are quiet popular. Groups of friends or even unknown people gather to make a ride in the nature. The botte of Aguardiente Antioqueño (Colombian spirit around 30%) and loud guasca music typical for department of Antioquia could not be missed!
Some pics from my first cabalgata:
We run up the hill, got down the hill, crossed the river, relaxed at Fonda (kind of rural bar 🙂 ), ate empanadas and returned back to the civilization.
Mission: Connection with nature completed!
