龙井茶 LONGJING TEA is one of the Chinese most famous green teas; tea plantations are located near Hangzhou city in Zhejiang province (2 hours by fast train from Shanghai).
I got on the right bus hoping that I would not miss famous Longjing Tea Village; few stops later one Chinese middle-aged woman approached me and asked me something. The only word I understood was “cha” (tea). I nodded. We got off at the tea village bus stop and she took me to her house to taste Longjing tea.
Wandering through Longjing tea village you can spot tea processing in a hot wok. This process is known as pan-firing or pan- frying and it gives the tea delicious taste and seducing aroma.
If you want to buy a tea, do not forget to bargain the price down- you are in China! 🙂
