Expedícia na ostrov Nurmes

Ostrov Nurmes je počas leta ľahko dostupný, ale v zime je nutné čakať na to, kedy udrie podriadna “kosa” a more zamrzne. Počas januára konečne nastali mínusové teploty a more medzi mnohými malými i väčšími ostrovčekmi nedaľeko Raumy utíchlo a zbelelo.

Continue reading

Rauma photo shooting vol.1

Continue reading

Prvé dojmy

V Raume máme  leto, to znamená krásnych 18 stupňov, zubaté slniečko a vetrík pofukujúci od mora. Predčasne vyťahujeme naše jesenné bundy, u nás predsa leto vyzerá úplne inak, ale mnohým Fínom je fajn. Oblečení v kraťasoch posedávajú pri riečke s nahodenou udicou, mladé Fínky v elesťákoch a športových tričkách šliapu do pedálov bicyklov, staršia generáciu … Continue reading

Back to Stone Age in Meymand, Iranian nomad village

After exhausting Yazd visit saturated with ancient wisdom we traveled to city called Sirjan, not a tourist place at all, however very special though. Hamed, our young Iranian friend, lives there and we were very glad to spend extra 5 hours in the bus and visit him in his hometown. Good thing about going to non-touristy place is that local … Continue reading

In the land of windcatchers, clay and Zoroastrians

Yazd, clay dry city in the Southern Iran, the capital of Yazd province, is one of my sweetest memories. This place is magical, I wish these pictures could reveal all that beauty, cleverness and inteligence of ancient Persian people. The windcatchers (baghirs), huge towers catching the wind were used to cool the interior of the building, something similar to … Continue reading

Hello, Islamic republic of Iran

I like countries that people know very little about; countries towards which people have stupid prejudices, fears and unjustified concerns. Iran is definitely one of them, although frankly speaking it’s one of the safest countries for travelers in this globe, besides being historically rich and absorbing with beautiful mosque’s mosaics. Sadly the media are omnipotent and we read … Continue reading

Chocó and Wind Journeys, two movies that show other than drug face of Colombia

Colombian cinema is undoubtedly influenced by dark evil events that swept through the country; sadly those events are still occurring, in particular well-known drug cartels presence, armed forces fighting, hitmen, murders, missing gun bullets flying in the air… Fortunately more and more thematically different movies are being produced highlighting other problems that Colombia as a … Continue reading

Inspired by Flowers and Red Explosion

When the city was finally quiet and calm I sat down on the terrace and painted; without any initial plan as usual 🙂 All three paintings were painted in China and were given to my friends. .____________________________________________________________________  Red explosion, oil on canvas, 32x49cm (13×20″), 2014 __________________________________________________________ Inspired by Flowers II, acrylics on canvas, 20×25 cm … Continue reading

Tiger Leaping Gorge, one of the deepest gorges in the world

I could not wait to leave overcrowded Chinese coastline and flew to Yunnan province, the home of great human and natural diversity. And I was even more excited about trekking in one of the deepest gorges in the world- in Tiger Leaping Gorge (Hǔtiào Xiá,  虎跳峡)- with its maximum depth of approximately 3790 meters from Jinsha river … Continue reading
